Kenny Burrell is one of my favorite guitar players, both because of his fluid, bluesy solos and his mastery as ‘King of the Ice Cream Chords.’ (Meant as a compliment.) He’s played with every major name in jazz over the past 60-some years. Now 80, Kenny’s still playing and his chops are still solid as a rock.
